Trinity Plaza Senior Housing

Richmond, CA

Design architect for 66 units of independent-living senior housing in two, three-story buildings located on MacDonald Avenue flanking 4th Street in Richmond, California.

Designed to reinforce the urban character the project includes ground-floor retail as well as community space that opens onto MacDonald Avenue. Gated parking courts located behind the buildings offer ease of access and security for the residents. The two buildings are designed to have different characters in order to add texture and interest along the street, while the towers provide emphasis at each corner. Highly sustainable, the buildings are notable for their reduced energy consumption.
