Trenton Terrace Senior Housing

Portland, OR

An inviting and highly-livable home for seniors designed to accommodate all levels of accessibility needs, Trenton Terrace provides 66-unit, low-income, independent senior living apartments in a building located on a .9 acre site.

The building design addresses both the new “Main Street” and central park. The main entry is at the corner, with a significant architectural element that anchors one end of the street, recalling the Portland tradition of strong corner elements at major transit intersections. A thin, transparent bridge connection links the east and west wings, affording natural light and a view to the south terrace and the grand heritage tree which the project was planned around and to the public park at the north.
